Head coach Chugger Adair announced the hiring of Katie Flores to the Virginia Tech women's soccer staff as the director of operations in July of 2022.
She enters her third season in Blacksburg in 2024 where she assists Adair and the coaching staff with travel, logistics and other tasks to aid in the success of the program.
A former DIV. III women's soccer goalkeeper, Flores was named a CAC Defensive Player of the Week and earned Second Team All-Conference honors while attending St. Mary's College of Maryland from 2015 to 2019. As a student, she achieved Dean's List honors all four years. She graduated from University of North Carolina this past spring earning a master of science in kinesiology.
Flores came to Virginia Tech with two years of experience working as the manager of the University of North Carolina - Greensboro women's soccer team from 2020-22. Prior to that, she had worked with the coaching staff at Pipeline Soccer Club in Lutherville, Maryland organizing training sessions for field athletes and goalkeepers.
