NCAA LGBTQ Resources
As a core value, the NCAA believes in and is committed to diversity, inclusion, and gender equity among its student-athletes, coaches, and administrators. We seek to establish and maintain an inclusive culture that fosters equitable participation for student-athletes and career opportunities for coaches and administrators from diverse backgrounds. Diversity and inclusion improve the learning environment for all student-athletes and enhances excellence within the Association.  NCAA LGBTQ resources can be found here.
 
EMPLOYEE/STUDENT-ATHLETE TRAINING PROGRAM
Virginia Tech Athletics is proud to promote the Athlete Ally LGBTQI+ Inclusion 101 Training. All administrators, staff, coaches, and student-athletes are encouraged to participate in this webinar training to learn how to support the LGBTQI+ community at Virginia Tech and within our athletic family.


Virginia Tech Athletics encourages student-athletes and faculty/staff to take part in safe zone training offered by the LGBTQ+ Resource Center. Safe Zone training is also available for all student-athletes and athletics staff to participate in to enhance their understanding of the foundational knowledge needed to support and act in solidarity with LGBTQ+ communities at Virginia Tech. These trainings are available throughout the academic year.

Virginia Tech events should be an enjoyable experience for all fans. In order to promote athletic excellence and fan enjoyment, we ask for your assistance in displaying a high degree of sportsmanship at all times. Virginia Tech reserves the right to remove from the arena those individuals whose conduct disrupts players, coaches, officials or other fans. Use of foul, abusive, obscene, or discriminatory (on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, gender identification, age, race, national origin, religion, military status, disability status or any other characteristic) language or gestures are prohibited. No refunds will be given in these cases. Any person entering the field of play at any time will be subject to arrest.
