Megan White

Director of Player Development and Technology
Virginia Tech softball and head coach Pete D’Amour announced the addition of Megan White as the new Director of Player Development and Technology in August 2023. She will oversee the team’s analytics, statistics and data, as well administrative and recruiting support for the program.

White joins the Hokies after spending a year as a programmer at Stat One LLC, where she created client requested graphics, including tables, listings and figures, using clinical trial data and Stat One company macros, in addition to other coding methods. She also participated in data management programming and validation to organize and import client data to conform to ADaM and SDTM standards.

In addition to her experience with Stat One, White also spent a season with the Carolina Wolves Collegiate Summer Baseball Team, where she served as the Data Analyst and Softball Integration Specialist. She participated in the player development process, while gathering, managing and interpreting data through the use of Game Changer, Blast Motion and Pitch Logic technology.

While with the Wolves, White collaborated with coaches and players to translate data and analyze developmental progress towards individual goals. She also supported the creation of player portfolios to highlight player development and assist in recruitment efforts.

A four-year letterwinner at Elon, White appeared in 121 games for the Phoenix, recording 68 hits, including 13 doubles and 16 home runs. She finished her career with a .516 slugging percentage and 58 RBI.

The 2019 CAA Co-Rookie of the Year, White also earned First Team All-CAA as a catcher and was selected to the CAA All-Tournament Team as a freshman after leading the team in batting average (.320), slugging percentage (.670), RBI (29) and home runs (10). She was also named to the Dean’s List and President’s List during her time at Elon.  White graduated in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Statistics and a minor in Political Science.
